November 28th, 2017 - Weeks 63-67

Here are the letters we got from Griffin this month. Sorry I have been slacking the last couple of months.

November 1st, 2017

Hey everyone this week was of course Halloween and it was pretty sweet. But first one experience, last Friday Udall and I had to teach at the Hospital like always. However this day was different because several doctors from India came to the hospital for a charity thing or something like that. All of them spoke pretty good English so Udall and I were there translators all day for them. We ended up splitting to help the doctors Udall went somewhere else and I went to a surgery. They had the person on table and I was in an observation room to the side. Then The Indian doctor gave some advice to the Mongolians and I had to translate it them in the middle of the surgery. At one point he told me tell to tell the surgeon to rotate a catheter inside the patients body. So I told the surgeon to do it over the microphone in the surgery room.
So that was crazy and then for Halloween we didn't do a lot. My comps school had a big Halloween party and so did Udall's comp. So we just hung out and ended up getting our flu shots, mission accomplished! Past that we just sat around and ate food that day. Both of our comps schools had parties that we're not allowed to go to because they're not our sponsor.
Also earlier this week we went hiking and found huge graveyard out in my area and climbed a mountain. That was super cool and found this scary shaman alter nestled in the saddle of a mountain. And we found a pack of cute ger puppies.

November 6th, 2017
Hey everyone!!!!!!! today is my birthday and I'm going to go celebrate so I can't email a lot today. I'm going to go get some shopping done. I'm going to go get some winter boots today because yesterday was the first day of snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I'll send some pictures next week, I forgot my sd card adapter today. But hey have a good week all of you and enjoy the holidays!

Ok everyone this week was great! I had my birthday and I got some super good food. And last night we got a new investigator on date! So I'm going to send a bunch of pictures home because a lot happened.

November 20th, 2017
Hey everyone this week was kind of slow. The most exciting thing coming up is Thanksgiving. We don't have any plans yet for it, but we'll make some. This last week we got an investigator to commit to baptism and we've met with her twice now. We're planning on her baptism. The other most exciting thing this week was that everyone in the mission got their blood drawn. I don't really have any pictures, sorry. I'll have some next week tho! Alright see you next week!

November 28th, 2017
Hey everybody this week was awesome so I'm just going to go straight into it. To start off last P-Day Elder Reynolds and I went exploring deep into Songino area and we found this awesome valley in the mountains out here. In the valley was an abandoned lagert village, it's like a camping resort. It was abandoned for the winter, just like on the Shining! We were out there and we found this this natural spring out in the snow with a huge alter surrounding it. Mongolians think that things like that have spiritual significance. then we walked further into the village. At one point we saw a wild pack of dog chase another a dog away and eat him, that was straight crazy. Then we found this cool resort out there called "bayan uul amralt". The whole place was like a movie. Then we had Thanksgiving, we had district meeting, the last one this transfer and dinner at a nice restaurant Then on Saturday Songino a had a Baptism of an investigator for the sisters who I had taught a little, but because we needed a male present and that was too hard so we gave her to the Sisters. Then she asked me to Baptize her! So I preformed my first baptism ever on Saturday!!! And today we find out if I leave Songino or what is going to happen this next transfer, it's tense!

Also you may notice that I'm sending this on the wrong day. That's because I couldn't take p-day on Tuesday this week because of the Halloween stuff.

October 29th, 2017 - Weeks 59-62

Ok guys, sorry I have not posted Griffin's letters in a while. I'm a terrible person. Here are the last 4 letters that we got from him:

October 2^nd, 2017

So this week was a pretty good week. First things first General Conference hasn't been translated yet here so we're watching it this Saturday and Sunday. I'm super excited for that and we've been working on getting our investigators to that. This week we had zone conference and it SNOWED!!!!!!! It snowed this week a few times and it was just so weird cause it was pretty warm the week before. This week we also met with some investigators and got them back on date for baptism. I'm stoked for that! The rest of this week was pretty regular. I'm excited to watch general conference and recharge myself. Alright everybody have a good week and have a good general conference!!​

October 9^th, 2017

Hey everybody! General conference this year was great! I felt the Spirit and was able to gain a lot insight into how I should change myself and the way I look at things. This week was really cool we now have 5 people on date for baptism. We also have 3 people of those people on date for Halloween! This transfer is over next week! It's crazy how fast time flies! Here are some pictures from this week.

October 13^th, 2017

Alright everyone today is transfers. They come out tonight and I don't know what is going to happen. I think this transfer will be good though. This week was pretty great we still some people on date who are progressing. That's sweet! We had a English conference that was honestly kind of boring, but it was still good! We mostly learned new ways to help manage our class rooms. Then this week we did a lot of service and helped people get their gers ready for winter.

Also we went to a new American store that just opened last week and we found our favorites... fake Disney stuff! We also saw this guy riding a horse through the middle of town yesterday!​

October 23^rd, 2017

Hey guys how's it going? So this week Elder Whitaker transferred out to be a zone leader out in Enkhtaiwan. I'm still in Songino (the place to be I might add). My new Comp is Elder Reynolds and he's from Tri-Cities! I know... I know... hey go easy on him alright guys. But he's really cool. He used to be in the army and is super into military stuff. I like him a lot. This week was pretty slow beyond that so right now we just trying to work with as many people as possible.
