Last PDAY

Hey everybody this last week was really cool and really eye opening. Last p-day we went hiking in our area and it was super cool. The mountains out in our area are beautiful and the air out there is sooooo clean! Out there we found a few owoo and shrines, which was super cool. Then we had a few appointments planned, however most of them burned us, but its no big deal. Then we had an appointment with a pi named uulanbayar.  She was a referral given to us by our ward mission leader, she has been hearing about the church for a long  time and has been really curious about the church for a long time. We met with her and introduced the book of mormon and the restoration to her, and she loved it! She was extremely willing to read the book of mormon and to learn more about the restoration. It was a really amazing thing to her countenance change when she heard us talking about 3 nephi and that its about christ coming to the nephites. She realy loved the book of mormon and had such a desire to learn. This is, of course, my final p-day on my mission, in one week i will be back in america. It's really crazy to think about going home so soon and being a normal person again. I'm really thankful for everyone of you guys for emailing me and for talking to me on my mission. This week really made me think a lot about how the work continues always no matter where you are or if you're a missionary. It was really amazing to see that uulanbayar will continue to meet with the missionaries in jargalant, even after i'm gone. I know that the gospel is truly powerful and can change peoples lives for better. I also know that christ is our savior and he saves us. And i know that we have a father in heaven who loves us and wants us to live with him. Thanks for everything guys, love you all. This is the final email.

This week was really good we did a lot of service and met with a lot of members. We met with tsetsgee and her family. Tsetsgee served i Logan when i was there, Elder Udall and I actually road the train with her from the MTC to Orem and then to logan. It was really cool to see her family and eat dinner with them. Elders Udall and Stoney came with us to the appointment. We also introduced her family to siracha sauce. Then on saturday we had a ward activity where we went to a park in our area and played games and then played soccer... in the rain! This week was really amazing and super fun. And now the count down begins, I now have less than 2 weeks left on my mission! I plan on enjoy the next 2 weeks as much as possible.

July 8 2018

Hey everyone this week was pretty slow but really good. We mostly just prepared for naadam, which is this week. Elder Jesperson and I are getting along really well and we have a lot in common. Jargalant is an awesome ward! The members in the jargalant ward are super cool! Also last week elder Davidson finished his mission, it's super crazy because when I was in the MTC I met him. It really puts it all into perspective. Another thing I realized is that this week 2 years ago I opened my mission call! It's crazy!

June 17, 2018
Hey everyone! this week was amazing! We got a couple new investigators and an investigator on date! It was a very spiritually up lifting week. Last p-day we went to this historical site called Gandan. Gandan is a giant monastery complex at the center of the city. It was super cool and has a bunch of building with religious artifacts, statues, and places for rituals. It also has this enormous statue of a buddha (I think) and other smaller statues and statuettes. Afterwards we went to a owoo nearby that was a large land mark for the city of UB. Also we had this experience where we were looking for a ward member and we went to his apartment building where we met a little boy. The little kid asked who we were looking for and he helped us look for the member. We did find him, but as we left the little kid looked up at us and asked, "Will I ever see you again?" I looked at him and said. "Eventually we'll meet again." As we walked away I thought of that scene on the iron giant where he flies away. It was a very touching moment. It was a very good week with a lot of exciting stuff happening.

June 10, 2018
This week was really great! We went to the silver Chingis statue with Elders Chinbat and Davidson. Is was an awesome experience to see it again. It was really cool to get to leave the city again and see some of the countryside. This week was very interesting cause we had a few investigators fall off date and we're just trying to work with some of our people. This week during personal study i studied a lot about the holy ghost and I read a scripture about how any good feeling or any good thing is from the holy ghost that really stood out to me. And I've found that to be definitely true. God gives us all things thru the holy ghost. Alright have a good week everyone!

Hey everyone this week was really good, irmuun got the holy ghost and our work has been really good. Last p-day there was this place I heard about in the city that had fossils and supposedly was a really big mall also. So we went out to the edge of the city where we saw a full sized mall and inside, we found fossils of dinosaurs! it was a really nice mall! Then the next biggest thing that happened this week was that I got my flight plans! I'm flying thru Beijeng. It's super exciting cause I'm getting ready to leave pretty soon! It will be crazy to be back in America! Today Elder Ogden and I are going to the silver Chingis statue with some other elders. So I'll send more pictures from that.

Bednar
Hey everybody how as this week? This week was awesome! Elder Bednar came to the  mission and we got to talk to him! To start last Friday morning the whole mission got together to meet with and talk to Elder Bednar. However when we got to the conference we found out that his flight was delayed, so instead we had a large conference with just the mission. Then later that night at 6 we had a ysa conference and Elder Bednar came to that. It was an amazing thing to see the ysa of Mongolia meet with and talk to a representative of God. The next day we had a missionary conference with Elder Bednar and it was amazing! We got to do a Q&A with and it was a super spiritual experience! Then after that there was a general conference for all the members of Mongolia with Elder Bednar. Then also on Friday our investigator passed his baptismal interview! So he will be baptized on Saturday!  Also this week it SNOWED! Also Saturday was no car day, a holiday where they don't allow cars on the main roads. It was very cool!

Elder Bednar ...

Hey everyone! How was your week? This past week has been super good for me! My comp (elder Ogden) and I have been getting along super well and we've been helping a lot of people. The biggest most notable event of this past week was that on saturday we went to a giant service project with all the stakes in the city a planted trees! It was awesome to see everybody in the city getting together and working to help the country! Then the next day we had stake conference and it was the first time that there has ever been a change in a stake presidency in mongolia. The west stake got a new president and counselors. In a couple weeks we are planning having a couple baptisms and I'm super excited!
This week end Elder Bednar is coming to mongolia. We only have 3 days until he arrives in mongolia! I've been reading some of his talks lately and one thing I really liked from them is his emphasis on faith and it's power to bring increase to our lives. I've definitely can say that I've seen the power of faith in my mission and the effect it has to change our out looks.

Week 90
Lots Of Italian!
Hey everyone this week was pretty crazy. The mission has been getting the ready for Elder Bednar to come to the mission next week. This week was really cool cause we got the opportunity to teach a lot of people. Now for the title this week we ate dinner at a members house, his name is Lhawgadorj  and he used to live in italy and knows perfect italian. We were at his house to eat and we walked in and there was a guy sitting at the table, an Italian guy! His name is Richardo and works for a marketing company that works here in Mongolia and China. He was really cool and we talked to him about the Book of Mormon. Then later that night after our appointment we were followed by some drunk guys... you know you win some you lose some. The next day was Sunday and we had a bunch of people at church and it was sweet cause we are getting ready to have some baptisms in a few weeks. I had some pictures, but we had to do an emergency exchange for some stuff and I don't have my camera and reader. But next week I'll have some pictures.

It was really cool to go out with Elder Ogden and see people every night. It was a super good week and it really showed the power that the Gospel has to help people and change their lives. Also this week we had zone conference and I'm a zone leader so I conducted it with Elder Callahan and it was  awesome. Hey everyone this week was awesome! Got to watch General conference and we got an investigator on  date for baptism! This week my comp and I also went to Zaisan to  celebrate the  25th anniversary of the dedication of Mongolia for the preaching of the Gospel. Elder Maxwell dedicated Mongolia on top of Zaisan April 15 1993 at 4:00pm , we went and stood in the same spot April 15 2018 at 4:00pm. It was really cool! Elder Ogden is doing really well, he's still adjusting to the new place a little. We're doing really well together tho. I forgot my camera today but later this week I'll send my pictures. Have a good week everyone!

Week 86
Gen Con 2018 - Unleash Your Priesthood!

Hey everyone. I've to send my email a day early cause I don't have pday tomorrow.
To start transfers just happened and I'm now zone leader over the west zone in the mission, along with Elder Callahan. Quick story it snowed last week the day of transfers, it was kind of sad cause Elder Amess and Whitaker finished their missions that same day, it reminded me of the sad snow in Iron Giant. I'm also training! I'm still in Tuul ward, and I'm training a new guy named Elder Ogden! He's from Gilbert Arizona and he's ball'n! He's only been in the country for 4 days! Ok now for the title of my email. General conference was awesome. It was super spiritual and sadly the last one I'm going to watch on my mission(insert sad face). It's was awesome seeing our living prophet talk to and address us. It's crazy to think that President  Nelson talks to God himself! Also for general conference elder Ogden and I made milk shakes to bring to a potluck. All right that's this weeks email! Have a good one!
